John McDevitt

John McDevitt, 63, of 1803 Hanna Street, New Castle, passed away the morning of October 3, 2024 at his residence.

John was born on March 3, 1961 in New Castle to the late Donald J. and Ailene (Seniow) McDevitt. John was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1979. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served from November 3, 1981 until November 2, 1987 with the rank of E-5. John was honorably discharged on November 2, 1987.He was an avid golfer and loved to play with his friends and family. He will be missed by all including his faithful dog; Duke.

John is survived by his stepdaughter Nicole Murphey of New Castle; two brothers, Michael (Rosanna) McDevitt of Youngwood, PA and Shane Joseph McDevitt of New Castle; two sisters, Dawn McDevitt of New Castle and Danielle L. (fiancé’ Joshua R. Williams) McDevitt of Cochranton, PA; and two grandchildren, Allyson and Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William McDevitt; and fiancé’ Debbie Trujillo.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date by his family. His arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle PA.
