Joseph A. Bober

Joseph A. Bober, 63 of 224 Sunnyside Road New Castle passed away the afternoon of February 22, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

Joseph was born May 11, 1959 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Adolph J. Bober. His mother Maryann (Tricolo) Bober survives. Joseph was married to the former Carol J. Germanski. They were married for 43 years. She survives at home. Joseph was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1978.

Mr. Bober worked for 40 years as a Lithographic Designer. He spent the last 10 year with Select Industries. Joseph was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Carol and mother Maryann, Joseph is survived by two daughters, Crystal (Lou) Voto, and Billie jo (John) Mastrantuoni, both of New Castle; three brothers, David Bober of Grove City, Mark Bober of New Castle, and Thomas Bober of New Wilmington, PA; four grandchildren, Anthony Procopio and Joseph Procopio, Avani Mastrantuoni and Gianni Mastrantuoni; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bober was preceded in death by his father, Adolph Bober; both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

A funeral service will be celebrated immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
