Joseph John Kaprutus, 73, of New Castle passed away the evening of October 19, 2022 at his residence.
Joseph was born August 19, 1949 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Joseph and Tatina (Kulik) Kaprutus. Joseph was of the Russian Orthodox faith. Mr. Kaprutus was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1967. Mr. Kaprutus retired after 30 years of service as an Assembly Line worker for General Motors in Lordstown, OH. He was a proud member of Local #1112 UAW. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter. Mr. Kaprutus was a reservist with the National Guard from 1969 to 1975.
Mr. Kaprutus is survived by his son, Matthew J. Kaprutus of New Castle; sister, Carole Kaprutus of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Nicolette Miletto of New Castle; and five loving cousins, Steve Kulik, Carole Kulik, Amy Guggenheimer, Joe Kulik, and Dr. Steven Kulik.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 Mill Street.
A Trisagion Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Very Rev. Kevin Long, Pastor of St. Elias Orthodox Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
