Karen L. Majeski, 75, of 725 Paul Street formerly of Mill Bridge Road, Ellwood City, passed away the morning of November 23, 2021 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Karen was born May 4, 1946 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Elmer M. and Agnes M. (Cox) Beatty. Karen was married to David S. Majeski for the past 55 years. He survives at home. Mrs. Majeski was of the Presbyterian Faith and attended Center United Presbyterian Church. Karen was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1964. Following graduation she continued her education at New Castle Business School.
Mrs. Majeski retired after 27 years of service with Shenango High School in the Midwestern Intermediate Unit as a Teaching Assistant with the hearing impaired students. Karen enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting. She also was a member of a card club with her friends and the Rapid Tappets Car Club. Karen enjoyed singing in the choir at church and was a member of the Women of Worship at Center United Presbyterian Church. Karen loved to travel with her husband and she enjoyed living and raising her children on their farm that they owned for 52 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband David, Karen is survived by her children, Beth A. (David R.) Lechel of Ellwood City; Amy S. (Derek) Slapsak of Diamond, OH; and David C. (Crystal) Majeski of Council, NC; and three grandchildren, Marah (Keith) Brammer, David P. Majeski, and Gregory R. Majeski.
Mrs. Majeski was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Beatty; and two sisters, Doris Nelson and Marilyn Morris.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 26, 2021 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Dr. Randy Stringer of Center United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Center United Presbyterian Cemetery.
