Katherine M. (Marcella) Peluso

Katherine M. Peluso, 88, of 503 Miller Ave. New Castle passed away the morning of January 30, 2021 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital.

Katherine was born September 11, 1932 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Dorothy (Pawlak) Marcella. She was married to the late Elbert D. Peluso. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2015. They were married for 46 years. Mrs. Peluso was of the Roman Catholic Faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish.  Katherine was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1950.

Mrs. Peluso continued her education earning her Registered Nursing Degree from St. Francis School of Nursing in New Castle. She worked as a nurse for numerous years at the former St. Francis Hospital. She also worked with Dr. Nathan Ginsburg. She enjoyed doing all different type of crafts and going on bus trips with Elbert.

Katherine is survived by her brother, Tom Marcella; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peluso was preceded in death by her parents and husband Elbert.

Following in her wishes there are no calling hours or service scheduled at this time. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
