Katie Zorens

Katie Zorens, 90, of New Castle passed away the morning of November 4, 2019 at Quality of Life Nursing Center.

Katie was born July 22, 1929 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Szabo Chifo. Katie was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1947. Mrs. Zorens was of the Protestant Faith.

Mrs. Zorens retired after numerous years of service to the community as a secretary at the former St. Francis Hospital. She was a woman of unwavering faith. Katie was dedicated to her two daughters. She loved music, animals, and enjoyed all types of flowers for their beauty. People will remember Katie as one of the kindest, most caring individuals they ever met.

Surviving Katie is her daughter, Marisue Zorens of New Castle.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Zorens on June 16, 2019.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4-6 PM in the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101. Memorial service will follow visitation on Friday at 6:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor James Nolder officiating.

Inurnment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
