Larry R. Brenner, 81 of New Castle passed away the morning of December 9, 2022 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Larry was born August 16, 1941 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Michael and Anne (Sheffler) Brenner. Larry was married to the former Kathleen F. Rogers for 56 years. She survives him at home. Larry was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.
Mr. Brenner was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired after 17 years of service at the former Rockwell Axel/Spring Division. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
In addition to his wife Kathleen, Larry is survived by two children, Melinda J. (Merill) Tripp of Columbus, OH, and William J. (Melissa) Brenner of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Michael Brenner of New Castle, and David (Kathy) Brenner of Beaver, PA; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brenner was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Brenner; and two sisters, Violet Anderson, and Nancy Miller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform full Military Honors at 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Funeral Service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. James Driskell of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial donations be made in Larry’s name to the charity of their choice.
