Lila A. (Trover) Tatton

Lila A. Tatton, 77, of 1023 Huey Street, New Castle passed away the evening of October 12, 2026 with her family by her side.

Lila was born October 26, 1948 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lila (Heims) Trover. Lila was married for the past 32 years to Daniel W. Tatton. He survives at home. Mrs. Tatton was Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish. Lila was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1966.

Mrs. Tatton retired after 20 years of service as a supervisor with UPMC in Pittsburgh. She loved baking, cooking, going for walks, and shopping with her family and friends. Lila loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. She also enjoyed country music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Daniel, Lila is survived by her daughter, Lori M. (Mark) Melillo of New Castle; son, Richard “Ricky” Conti of New Castle; sister-in-law, Patty Trover of New Castle; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Lloyd Trover.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

A Blessing Service will be celebrated on Friday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Benjamin Barr, Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
