Loretta M. Nesbitt, 95, of Jameson Care Center, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, April 13, 2024. She was born on September 4, 1928, in New Castle, PA, to the late Stanley J. and Anna B. (Sikorski) Machesney Sr.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Manning, and three sons; Brice Manning, Arthur (Meredith) Nesbitt, and William (Kristina) Nesbitt Jr. Loretta also leaves behind one granddaughter, Karissa Nesbitt (the favorite granddaughter), and five grandsons; Lee McNeil, Brian Manning, Brandon Manning, Joel Nesbitt, and Brett Nesbitt. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Allison Manning, Kayla Manning, Cody Manning, and Kyle Manning. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, William Nesbitt Sr.; her brothers, Stanley Maciejewski and Raymond Machesney.
Loretta was an incredible woman of Faith who dedicated her life to helping others. Despite facing many struggles of her own, she always strived to make the world a better place. She poured love and care into each of her grandchildren, making them better people. As a Big Sister with Cray Youth and Family Services, she mentored children for 8 years, starting at the age of 80. She made a profound impact on these children’s lives, each of them better for having known her. She was an active member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Clen Moore Presbyterian Church, with a service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Michael Spicuzza will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be at Castleview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cray Youth and Family Services at www.crayyouth.org. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
