Margaret J. Miller

Margaret Jane Miller, 73, passed away on July 26, 2023 at the Grove in New Wilmington. She was the wife of Robert Lee Miller. They shared 53 years together.
Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John Wilbur Buchanan Sr. and June Agnes (Evans) Buchanan. She attended Lawrence County Vocational School. She was a homemaker who was very interested in the successes of her five children.

She was a member of Faith Country Chapel. Margaret enjoyed bird watching, baking, was an avid reader, and most of all, she loved spending time with her family members. She will be remembered most for her love for Jesus, the way she joked around with her family, and for how much she loved them. Everyone was welcome at her door. As she always said, “If I had known you were coming, I’d have baked a cake.”

She is survived by her husband, Robert, her children, Peggy Miller, Patty Morrison, Bob (Jenn) Miller, Dan (Victoria) Miller, and Jenni Miller, her fourteen grandchildren, her four great-grandchildren, and brothers John W. Buchanan Jr. and Tom M. Buchanan Sr..

She was preceded in death by her mother, June, her father John, her brother Jimmy, her sister Betty, her brother Bill, her sister-in-law Doris, sister-in-law Kathy, and her sister-in-law Sally.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation in the Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Pastor Jason Doolittle will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
