Marilyn R. (Thomas) Senchak

Marilyn R. Senchak, 81, of Hunter Lane passed away the evening of December 23, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Marilyn was born July 17, 1939 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Gerwyn and Rosine (Nemeth) Thomas. Marilyn was married to the late Donald A. Senchak. He preceded her in death July 13, 2003. Mrs. Senchak attended New Castle High School.

Mrs. Senchak retired after numerous years of service as a school bus driver for the Laurel High School District. She also worked at Kmart for several years as an apparel clerk. Marilyn was the most giving, caring, determined, and fierce person people knew. She enjoyed feeding and caring for her family and friends, and relished in hosting them at her home. Marilyn also enjoyed going to casinos and home parties. She loved and enjoyed her cats. Marilyn was most proud of her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children, Douglas (Roxanne) Senchak, Brenda Panella, and Dale (Barbara) Senchak, all of New Castle; step-sister, Ruth Olson of Glendale, AZ.; six grandchildren, Aaron Senchak, Nicolas Senchak, Joshua Senchak, Dr. Jordan (Macy) Senchak, Jacob Senchak, and Gretchen Panella; and three great-grandchildren, Anthony Panella, Alonna Senchak, and Evangeline Senchak.

Mrs. Senchak was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald, step-mother, Eleanor Edgerton Thomas; three brothers, Gerwyn Thomas, Jay Thomas, and Alfred Thomas; three step-brothers, Louis Kender, Bill Edgerton, and Paul Edgerton; sister, Anna Fleming; step-sister, Margaret Schuster; and son-in-law, Anthony (Buzzy) Panella.

Due to COVID, there will be no visitation hours. A Memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street New Castle, PA 16101.
