Marlene A. (Glass) Cheslock

Marlene A. Cheslock, 86, of 964 Old Princeton Road passed away the afternoon of December 15, 2022 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Marlene was born December 7, 1936 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Agnes (Zeigler) Glass. She was married for 44 years to William A. Cheslock. He survives at home. Marlene was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1954.

Mrs. Cheslock worked as a social worker with Office on Aging and Challenges. Marlene enjoyed being outdoors, and helping people. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband William, Marlene is survived by three children, Denny (Tami) Anderson and Roban Anderson, both of New Castle, and Jim (Carla) McNicholas of Grove City, PA; brother, Robert (Alberta) Glass of New Castle; five grandchildren, Zach (Laura) Anderson, Alyssa (Cam) Lane, Alex McNicholas, Jim McNicholas, and Jereme Stewart; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Cheslock was preceded in death by both her parents.

Private visitation and services will be held at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday December 20, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. Tim Erwin of Shenango Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery. The family is asking that memorial contributions be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
