Merida K. Murawski

Merida K. Murawski, 80 of New Castle, passed away the morning of November 29, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Merida was born April 23, 1941 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Carol (Hutchison) Reider. She was married to the late George Murawski. He preceded her in death in 2018.   Merida was of Roman Catholic Faith and a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Camillus Site. Mrs. Murawski was a graduate of New Castle High School.

Mrs. Murawski was a member of the Polish Falcons, was an avid tennis player, and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially holiday dinners.

Merida is survived by her brother Herman (Lisa) Reider, Holden, MA.; sister Margaret Reider, Rochester, Pa; nieces Victoria and Emily and nephew Ryan, and brother-in-law Gerald Neely; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Merida is preceded in death by her sister Judith Neely.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street New Castle, PA 16101.

A Blessing Service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be in SS Philip and James Cemetery. The family asks that everyone in attendance please wear masks.
