Michael J. Midzie

Michael John Midzie, 71, of 1149 Roosevelt Street, passed away on Friday, June 9th, at Villa Saint Joseph. Born on April 1st, 1952, Michael was a lifelong resident of New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late John Michael and Ann (Stolitca) Midzie and was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Sharon, and many Springer Spaniel companions. 

Michael was a devout Christian man whose Orthodox faith was paramount to him. He is survived by his two children, Sherry L. (John) Bellan and Jason M. (Lawny) Midzie, both of New Brighton, PA; his sister, Carol Coulter, of New Castle; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 3-5 pm at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.   A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Rev. Kevin Long, St. Elias Orthodox Church, will officiate. A private burial will take place at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery.
