Nancy (Judy) (Hartle) Metzgar

Nancy (Judy) Metzgar, 78, formerly of Avalon Drive, New Castle passed away the morning of October 14, 2025 at Haven Convalescent Home.

Nancy was born June 30, 1947 in Mineral Springs, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Dorothy (Lewis) Hartle. Nancy was married to the late Donald L. Metzgar. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2016. They were married on July 3, 1964, and were together for 52 years. Mrs. Metzgar was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Metzgar will be remembered as a loving, mother, sister, and aunt to her family. She was an avid crafter. Nancy and her husband were the most loving parents to their two sons. She also worked outside the home for a short period of time as a cosmetologist.

Mrs. Metzgar is survived by two brothers, Frank Clifford (Tracey) Hartle, and Gary (Jodie) Hartle, both of New Castle; two sisters, Beverly (Ellis) Metzgar of Pulaski, PA and Linda (Greg) Waddington of Virginia; sister-in-law, Donna Hartle of Hillsville; brother-in-law, Richard Michaels of New Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Donald, Nancy was preceded in death by two sons, Donald E. Metzgar and Timothy W. Metzgar; six sisters, Bonnie Ray, Sandy Hartle, Bernice Iorio, Barbara Barker, Betty Byers and Sherry Michaels; brother, Bernard Hartle; maternal grandparents, Julia and Francis Lewis; and Paternal, Nancy and Frank Hartle, Sr.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street. New Castle.

A Funeral service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home.  Pastor Marcie Grimm of Pulaski Village Church will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations be made in Nancy’s name to   St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
