Nancy T. Saad

Nancy T. Saad, 88, 177 Cambridge Street, New Castle passed away the morning of May 20, 2022 at Haven Nursing home.

Nancy was born April 5, 1934 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Raya (Fakhr) Joseph. Mrs. Saad was married to the late Michael J. Saad. They were married for 61 years. Nancy attended St. John’s Maronite Catholic Church. Mrs. Saad was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1952.

Mrs. Saad worked in the Administration offices of both New Castle School District, and Allied Human Service for numerous years. She also worked with Marie Eberth Catering for several years. She loved to cook for her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed raising flowers in her garden and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Saad is survived by her son, George M. (Jodi) Saad of Laguna Niguel, CA; daughter Rayanne M. (Tom) Maciarello of New Castle; sisters-in-law, Rita Joseph and Donna Joseph, both of New Castle; six grandchildren, Michael J. Maciarello, Thomas J. Maciarello, Raya R. Maciarello, Nicholas M. Saad, Matthew G. Saad, and Andrew J. Saad.

In addition to her parents and husband Michael, Nancy was preceded in death by eight brothers, Charles, Joseph, Edward, George, John, Thomas, Michael, and Richard Joseph.

A private funeral service will be celebrated later this week at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. Rev. Hanna Karam; pastor of St. John’s Maronite Catholic Church will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum. The family is asking memorial donations be made in Nancy’s name to the Lawrence County Humane Society, 628 Pearson Mill Road, New Castle, Pa 16101.
