Patricia T. (Boczar) Gonet

Patricia T. Boczar Gonet, 92 of 402 Gardner Center Road, passed away peacefully the morning of January 23, 2024, with her daughter Bonnie by her side.

Patricia “Pat” Gonet was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1931, to the late John and Josephine (Cwynar) Boczar. Patricia was married for 36 years to the late Stanley Gonet. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1990. Patricia was also an active member of the Holy Spirit Parish - St. Vitus site and was a devout Catholic throughout her life.

Patricia was a graduate of Union High School, class of 1949. Pat continued her education and earned her Nursing Degree from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1952. Pat worked at St. Francis Hospital on the 3rd floor and Emergency Department until her retirement. 

Pat is survived by her daughters, Bonnie L. (David) Courson and Amy L. (John) Mastropietro, both of New Castle. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Jamie and Johnny Mastropietro and several of her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Stanley, Patricia was preceded in death by her two brothers John and Bernard Boczar, two infant sisters, Anna and Mary Boczar.

Pat lived a full, active, and memorable life. She was a charitable, kind, and thoughtful woman. Her legacy of love and dedication to family, friends, and her community will continue to live on.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle, PA 16101.

A procession will leave the funeral home Monday morning at 10 a.m. for Holy Spirit Parish - St. Vitus site, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Rev.
