Paul J. Horney, Jr., 75 of 125 W North Street passed away the evening of May 31, 2025 at the Celebration Villa of Chippewa.
Paul was born October 17, 1949 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Paul J. and Helen (Makara) Horney Sr. Mr. Horney was Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish – Mary, Mother of Hope site. Paul was a graduate of Union High School, class of 1967.
Mr. Horney worked as a laborer at the former Shenango China Company until they closed. He also worked at Green Meadows Golf course as the grounds keeper for several years. Paul was an avid Atlanta sports fan; he enjoyed watching both the Atlanta Braves and Falcons. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially those he lived with at Riverside Apartments.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Christopher Horney and Paul J. Horney III, both of New Castle; and two brothers, Timothy (Julie) Horney and Mitchell Horney, both of New Castle.
Mr. Horney was preceded in death by both his parents, and his brother, Michael Horney.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow visitiation in the funeral home. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc.
