Ralph M. Johnson

Ralph M. Johnson, 78, of 518 Electric Street, New Castle passed away the afternoon of May 23, 2022 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Ralph was born November 24, 1943 in Ellwood City. He was the son of the late Ralph A. and Dorothy R. (Jacobs) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was married to the former Linda S. Sanderson. She survives at home. They were married for 39 years.

Mr. Johnson was a Veteran in the United States Navy. Ralph earned the rank of private first class. He was Honorably Discharged in 1962. Mr. Johnson worked as a transmission mechanic at Plott’s Automotive Services here in New Castle. Ralph enjoyed working with his hands fixing anything. He loved racing stock cars also enjoyed going fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Linda, Ralph is survived by his two daughters, Cindy J. Powell, and Carla J. Johnson and her fiance Trae Brown, both of New Castle; and five grandchildren, Josiah, Phoenix, Liam, Aurora, and Xavier.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, William Johnson; and two sisters, Barbara Hamill, and Martha Worell.

Following Mr. Johnsons’ wishes there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc.1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle.
