Richard E. Lovich, 68 of 365 New Bedford-Sharon Rd. West Middlesex passed away the evening of January 28, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA.
Richard was born December 4, 1953 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Presko) Lovich. Richard was married to the former Deborah Mortimer. She survives at home. Mr. Lovich was of the Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish, Mary, Mother of Hope site. Richard was a graduate of New Wilmington High School, class of 1971.
Mr. Lovich retired after numerous years of service in the crane maintenance department of the former V&M-Vallourec Star Company. Richard was known for his kind heart, he would help his family and friends without a question. He enjoyed working on cars, traveling with his family, and spending time at his camp with his wife and dogs. He especially loved his cats “Spook” and “Boss”.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Richard is survived by his son, Jason (Sarah) Lovich of Enon Valley, PA; two daughters, Holly (David Moore) Lovich of Canfield, OH, and Kiley (David) Byers of New Castle, PA; two brothers, Roger Lovich of Pulaski, PA., and Ronald Lovich of Edinburg, PA; six grandchildren, Andrew Lovich, Mason Byers, Karlee Byers, Liam Lovich, Jaxin Andree, and Kenlee Byers.
Mr. Lovich was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Cory Alan Lovich.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
A procession will leave the funeral home Saturday morning February 5, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. for Holy Spirit Parish-Mary Mother of Hope site were a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. Brendan Dawson of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
