Richard J. Pursell

Richard J. Pursell, 79 of New Castle passed away the morning of July 16, 2021 at his residence.

Richard was born November 20, 1941 in New Castle. He was the son of the late John and Sophia (Jaskolka) Pursell.   Richard was married to the former Barbara McKenna on May 31, 1986. She survives at home. They were married for 35 years. Richard was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1959.

Mr. Pursell retired after 35 years of service as a roll grinder at Blair Strip Steel.  Richard enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He loved his camp in Bullion, PA, hunting, fishing and his cat Bruno. Mr. Pursell was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest #146.

In addition to his wife Barbara A. is survived by three daughters, Christie (Randy) Robinson, Barbara J. Pursell and Jamie Pursell; three grandchildren, Kayla, Kiley and Cody Koszela; great grandson, Keandre Ware; brother, Greg (Linda) Kissick and sister Shirley (Harry) Marshall.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
