Rita Mae Elsesser

Rita Mae Elsesser, 76, of West Pittsburg passed away the evening of January 27, 2022 at her residence.
Rita was born July 6, 1945 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Seman) Elsesser. She was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Mary, Mother of Hope site. Rita was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1963.
Miss Elsesser continued her education at Slippery Rock University, earning her Master’s Degree in education. Rita retired after 36 years of service as a teacher in the New Castle School System. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teaching Sorority and American Women’s Business Association.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Miss Elsesser is survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Elsesser of West Pittsburg, and Susan (Michael) Lewis of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
Private family services were held today. Local arrangements entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
