Rita L. (Seinkner) Frengel

Rita L. Frengel, 96, of W. Pittsburg Rd. New Castle passed away the morning of July 8, 2023 at Avalon Place Nursing Home.

Rita was born May 4, 1927 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Urban) Seinkner. Rita was married to the late Joseph H. Frengel. He preceded her in death in August 22, 1983. They were married for 36 years. Mrs. Frengel was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish. Rita was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1943.

Mrs. Frengel was a homemaker and also worked outside the home. Rita worked for several local companies for a total of 24 years, finally retiring as a manager of the former St. Francis Hospital hostess shop in New Castle. Rita enjoyed going dancing, watching golf on television, and preparing meals for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her son, Joseph Henry (Diane) Frengel of New Castle; sister, Dolly J. (Joseph) Colleluori of Davenport, Fl.; two grandchildren, Joey Lee (Randy) Boyles of Bessemer and Brandi Lynn (Thomas) Lynch of New Castle; and three great-grandchild Brooks Boyles, Lennon Boyles, and Maren Boyles.

In addition to her parents and husband Joseph, Rita was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald J. Frengel and Richard H. Frengel; two brothers, James Seinkner and John Seinkner; and a sister, June Seinkner.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

A Blessing Service will immediately follow visitation in the funeral home. Deacon Dr. Joseph Ross of Divine Grace Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Cemetery.
