Robert Joseph Eddy Sr.

obert J. Eddy Sr., of Hickory Twp. passed away the evening of December 21, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Manor, Girard PA.

Robert was born on November 14, 1933 in Greenville, PA. He is the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Smith) Eddy. He was married to the former Marlene Fabian. She preceded him in death in 2020. They were married for 62 years. Mr. Eddy was a mrmber of Neshannock Presbyterian Church.  Robert was a graduate of New Castle High School, Class of 1955.  He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean war. 

Mr. Eddy retired after numerous years of service as a Corrections Officer at the Mercer Regional Correctional Facility.  Robert enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his sons Robert (Rachel) Eddy Jr., San Antonio TX, David (Sara) Eddy, Erie; sister Alma Winkler, and grandchildren Allison, Nicholas, Garrett, Courtney and Keeley.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert is preceded in death by his sisters Marge and Barbara.
