Rosemary F. (Jones) McFarland

Rosemary F. McFarland, 78, of 183 Grange Road, New Wilmington passed away the morning of May 20, 2021 at her residence.

Rosemary was born October 3, 1942 in Sharon, PA. She was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Mary T. (Sullivan) Jones. She was married to the late James H. McFarland Sr. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2021. They were married for 57 years.

Mrs. McFarland was a loving homemaker for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Rosemary graduated from Hickory High School. She enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and growing flowers in her garden. Rosemary also loved to travel and cook for her family.  

Rosemary is survived by three children, her sons and daughter-in-law, James H. (Margie) McFarland Jr. of West Middlesex, PA, and Timothy J. McFarland of Prince Frederick, MD; daughter, Kelly L. Rochford of New Wilmington, PA; two sisters, Carolyn Bandy of Sharon, PA and Marilyn Thompson of Farrell, PA; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. McFarland was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. McFarland Sr.; son, William E. McFarland; sister, Patricia Stone; and grandson, Cody McFarland.  

Following in her wishes there are no calling hours. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street New Castle.

A Blessing service will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Castleview Memorial Gardens Chapel. Pastor Matthew Bupp will officiate. Entombment will be in Castleview Mausoleum.
