Roy A. (Jr.) McDonald

Roy A. McDonald Jr., 36 of 1132 Booker Dr., New Castle, PA passed away on the afternoon of September 7, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Roy was born December 11, 1985, in Miami, Fl. He was the son of Roy A. and Annette (Barrett) Mc Donald, Sr and Stepma Yvonne McDonald. Roy was married to the former Kirisa Anderson. They were married on September 20, 2014, and were married for six years.  Mr. McDonald was of the Christian faith and attended Prevailing Word Ministry here in New Castle. Roy was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 2005.

Mr. McDonald loved to cook so much that he wanted to become a chef at one point. He enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors. Roy was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He was a very family-oriented guy and will miss all the special times he spent with his son Alejando. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife Kirisa, Roy is survived by his son Alejando McDonald of New Castle; one brother, Taj Barrett (Lyndsey Young), Taj Jr, and Ella of Fl., six sisters, LaQuinta McDonald of Oh., Lakeitha Barrett of Pittsburgh, Renee McDonald of NJ., Carlyle McDonald of Fl., Katherine Taylor of Ga., and Siobhan Taylor of Ga.; Brother-in-Law, Howard (Dana) Anderson of Moon Township, Sister-in-Law, Courtenay (Mark) Hall, Jake, and Paisley of Hopewell Township.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 11 to 1 pm at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

Going home services will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Pastor Vakia Upshaw will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
