Ruth E. (Holly) Dillon

Ruth E. Dillon, 88 of Edinburg passed away the evening of August 1, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital

Ruth was born on October 10, 1932 in Nashville TN. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Minnie Belle (Richardson) Holly. She was married to Eugene P. Dillon. He survives at home.

Mrs. Dillon worked as a cook at her sister and niece’s restaurant and also enjoyed working at her daughter’s furniture store.  She loved to cook and spend time with her family and her beloved cat Sassy.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by five children, Donald (Janet) Dillon, Larry (Joyce) Dillon, Holly (Bryan) Hobel, Lisa Suisi and Joel (Lori Gorgas) Dillon; six grandchildren, Amy Crews, Brandy Oslin, Stephanie Hobel, Bryan (Jessica Chappell) Hobel Jr., Matthew Suisi, and Melissa Suisi; eight great grandchildren, Dillon Richards, Gage Crews, Kyla Ruth Hobel, Ethan Richards, Riley Crews, Bryan Hobel III, Sierra Adams and Jaxon Oslin, and one great- great grandson Colton Richards. Mrs. Dillon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister M. Evelyn Smith, son-in-law Jeffrey Suisi, and grandsons John and David Crews.
