Ryan Jay Braho

Ryan Jay Braho, 31, of 701 Nashua Road passed away the afternoon of April 11, 2022 at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center in Aspinwall, PA.

Ryan was born March 2, 1991 in New Castle. He was the son of the late James J. Braho. He preceded him in death on April 9, 2021. His mother Tracy L. (Frazier) Braho survives at home. Mr. Braho was a graduate of New Wilmington High School, class of 2009. Ryan continued his education by attending Pittsburgh Technique Institute earning an Associate Degree in Safety and Security in 2012. 

Following graduation, Mr. Braho enlisted in the United States Air Force on May 15, 2012 in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Braho earned the rank of SRA/E4. Ryan received many decorations and citations, among them where the National Defense Service Medal, Global War of Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Medal, and Air Force Training Ribbon.  Mr. Braho was Honorable Discharged on January 11, 2017 at Englin Air Force Base in Fl. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, playing his guitar, and shooting Clay targets. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Braho is survived by his mother, Tracy L. Braho of New Castle; and brother, James A. Braho of Murrieta, CA.

In addition to his father James, Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Frazier; and Paternal Grandparents, Charlotte and James A. Braho.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct full Military Honors for Ryan on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 10:45 a.m. A Funeral Service and Rite of Committal will be held immediately following the Military service in the funeral home. Chaplin of Pittsburgh VA Medical Center will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. The family is asking that memorial donations be made in Ryan’s name to Pittsburgh VA; Fisher House University Drive, Building 33, Pittsburgh, PA. 15240.
