Shirley J. Harper, 90, of New Castle, passed away April 9, 2020, at the Clen
Moore Place.
Shirley was born August 26, 1929, the daughter of Perry F. and Clarice R.
March in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. She
married William B. Harper and they spent 73 wonderful years together. A loving
wife, mother and grandmother, she loved taking care of and spending time with her
family.
She was a lifelong member of Highland Presbyterian Church where she had
served as a Deacon and participated in youth group supervision and served on
numerous committees.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children: Richard (Brenda)
Harper, Judy (Bob) Capezio, and Robert Harper; 6 grandchildren: Rob (Jamie)
Capezio, Tressa (Chris) Merola, Melissa Capezio White, Brett Harper, Brittany
(Brandon) Arena and Lacey Harper; 4 great grandchildren; Nicholas Capezio,
Kadin Hall, Shane Capezio, and Jossalyn Capezio and 2 great-great grandchildren,
Angelina Merola and Lincoln Arena.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Alvin March and
her sister Virginia Williams.
A blessing service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Noga Funeral Home, Inc.
