Shirley R. (Wygant) Krouse

Shirley R. Krouse, 73 of 472 N. Scotland Lane, New Castle passed away the morning of February 4, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Shirley was born July 3, 1951 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Glen and Daisey (Kerr) Wygant. Shirley was engaged to William T. Cosgrove. They have been together for 32 years. He survives at home. Mrs. Krouse was of the Christian faith. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1969.

Mrs. Krouse retired after numerous years of service as an owner and operator of a local car wash and Laundromat in Union Township. Shirley enjoyed riding motorcycles with her fiance William. She was fortunate to be able to make friends all over the United States on their many trips. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

In addition to William, Shirley is survived by her brother, James Wygant of Youngwood, FL; sister, Joanne Tomlinson of Boardman, OH; granddaughter, Karissa Krouse; and two great-grandchildren, Paisley and Kadence.

Mrs. Krouse was preceded in death by her parents and son, James Krouse.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from to 4 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following visitation in the funeral home. Rev. Bill Beck will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Online condolences may be viewed or offered by visiting www.nogafuneralhome.com
