Stephen C. Macri, 68 of Davidson N.C. passed away the evening of October 29, 2025.
Stephen was born July 24, 1957 in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was the eldest son of Charles P. Macri, and the late Dorothy E. (Brest) Macri. He leaves behind his wife of twenty-nine years, Rebecca L. (Gorby) Macri. Stephen was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1975. He continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University. Mr. Macri concluded his education at Harvard Business School in 1999.
Mr. Macri retired after years of service working in Channel Sales / Client Leader Software Sales at IBM Corporation. He previously held the position of VP of Sales- North and Latin Americas for Dassault Systemes, which allowed him and his young family to live and work abroad for two years. Stephen was a scratch golfer, and a member of River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC. He enjoyed golfing with friends, going to the casino with his father, and was dedicated to working out daily. Mr. Macri will be remembered for his "Under the Shady Tree" mechanics, rebuilding cars with his sons and helping friends and neighbors as Mr. Fix-It. He will be remembered for his love of the beach, music and his family and friends.
In addition to his father and wife Rebecca, Stephen is survived by two sons, Nicholas S. Macri of Mooresville, NC, and Aaron J. Macri of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Larry L. (Christie) Macri of Orlando, FL, Richard A. (Susan) Macri of Cleveland, OH, and Phillip J. Macri of Edinburg; sister, Charlene A. Macri of New Castle; Sister-in Law Pamela Seate (Chris) of Cornelius, NC and Jayne Gorby of Bentonville, AK; fifteen loving nieces, nephews, and fourteen great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Macri was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy E. Macri; brother, Thomas E. Macri; father-in-law Richard E. Gorby; and brother-in-law, Kevin R. Gorby.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle.
A Blessing service will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. Rev. Aaron Kriss of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to PGA HOPE: Https://wwwpgareach.org.
