Walter Koscinski Obituary

Walter R. Koscinski, 86, of New Castle passed away the evening of March 4, 2024 with his family by his side.

Walter was born January 3, 1938 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kwolek) Koscinski. He was married to the former Patricia J. Gargasz. They were married for 61 years. Mr. Koscinski was of the Polish National Catholic faith and attended Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. Walter was a graduate of Shenango High School, class of 1955.

Mr. Koscinski retired after 28 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker with Delphi Packard in Warren, Ohio. Walter enjoyed going on bus trips and cruises with his wife, all over the United States and to the Panama Canal. Mr. Koscinski was an avid NASCAR fan, his favorite drivers were both Lou Blaney and his son Dave Blaney. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting in his early years. Walter loved playing games, watching YouTube, and sending funny emails from his IPad. He also enjoyed watching all the Pittsburgh professional teams. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Patricia, Walter is survived by his three sons, Brian P. (Christine) Koscinski of Mars PA, Bradley A. Koscinski of Slippery Rock, PA and Brant A. (Cara) Koscinski of Monroe, NC; brother, Thomas (Delores) Koscinski of New Castle; and six grandchildren, Allyson, Nicholas, Caden, Carson, Jacob, and Joshua Koscinski.

Mr. Koscinski was preceded in death by both his parents, and two brothers, Leonard and Joseph Koscinski.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chad Smith and all the caregivers at Hillman Cancer Center and hospice staff from Vitas Healthcare.
