Walter J. Romonsky, Sr., 88, of 725 Paul Street New Castle passed away the evening of April 8, 2024 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Walter was born March 29, 1936 in New Castle. He was the son to the late Andrew and Anna (Batcho) Romonsky. Walter was married to the late Jacqueline A. (Hawk) Romonsky. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2013. They were married for 48 years. Mr. Romonsky was of the Christian faith.
Walter retired after 35 years of service as mold technician at the former New Castle Refractory in New Castle. Mr. Romonsky enjoyed cooking for his family. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Romonsky is survived by his son Walter J. (Valerie) Romonsky II of West Pittsburg, PA; daughter, Lisa A. Romonsky of West Pittsburg; three grandchildren, James A. Penwell, Chelsee Snyder, and Walter J. Romonsky III, all of New Castle.
In addition to his parents and wife Jacqueline, Walter was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, George, Stanley, and Tony Romonsky.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 Mill Street New Castle.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following visitation. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in S.S. Philip and James Cemetery.
