Wanda S. (Sharek) Gurgacz

Wanda S. Gurgacz, 93 of New Castle PA passed away on the afternoon of September 15, 2022 at Quality Life Services. She was born on May 2, 1929 in New Castle to the late Stanley and Julia Sharek. Mrs. Gurgacz was married to the late John Gurgacz who preceded her in death in 2008.  They were married for 58 years.

Following high school graduation, she was employed as a secretary to the president of Dollar Savings Bank. Wanda enjoyed gardening and cooking Polish foods with her husband. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the Poconos.

Mrs. Gurgacz is survived by her grandson Matthew Jacob.

In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda is preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Jacob, son in law Hubert Jacob and brother Stanley Sharek.

Calling hours will be held on Monday September 19, 2022 from 4-7 PM at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle.

A Blessing Service will be held directly following the visitation at 7p.m. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be at SS Philip and James Cemetery.  Online condolences may be viewed or given by visiting nogafuneralhome.com
