Wanda Leckfor, 97, of Shenango Twp. passed away surrounded by her family on January 13, 2024. Wanda was born on October 31, 1926, to Ignacy and Antonina Kwolek. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Joseph Kwolek, Michael Kwolek, Mary Koscinski, Stella Lastoria, and Frances Nord. Surviving Wanda are two daughters; Donna (Stanley) Hynal and Beverly (Thomas) McCosby; two grandchildren, Kelly (James) Williams and Kevin (Elizabeth) Hynal.
Wanda will be missed by her “Little Sweethearts”, her great-grandchildren, Emily and Jack Hynal. Wanda was happily anticipating, with Kelly and Jay, the birth of their first child, her 3rd great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Wanda worked for 43 years at the former Shenango China in the print shop until its closure. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker and Holy Spirit Parishes of New Castle. She was a caregiver to many throughout her life and touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA
A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Parochial Vicar Fr. Aaron Kriss of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery. The family would like to thank Amy Zurasky of Golden Hearts Home Care and her caregivers, Mary, Kayla, and Patty for their kindness and compassion.
