William J. Cromie, 86 of 520 Friendship Street, New Castle passed away the afternoon of March 10, 2026 at Quality of Life Services in New Castle.
William was born July 11, 1939 in New Castle. He was the son of the late William J. and Dorothy (Robison) Cromie. William was married to the late Carolyn (Kenst) Cromie. She preceded him in death on September 4, 1994. They were married for 32 years. William was of the Christian faith and was a graduate of Laurel High School, class of 1957.
Mr. Cromie retired after more than 20 years of service as a clay cutter and foreman at the former Shenango China Company here in New Castle. William enjoyed going hunting in his early years. He also enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas, Mountaineer, and the Rivers Casino. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
William is survived by his two daughters, Deborah (Edwin) McCue-Culley and Amy (Leonard) Chiarini, both of New Castle; two granddaughters, Rhiannon (Joshua) Quinn of New Castle, and Timinee McCue of California, PA; and five great-grandchildren, Natalee Quinn, Mason Quinn, Mykah Kerr, Irelyn McCue, Lenyn McCue.
Following his wishes, there are no calling hours or services scheduled at this time. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA.
