William C. Heasley, 81, of New Castle, passed away the morning of August 19, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side.
Bill was born on November 14, 1943, in Erie, PA. He was the son of the late Roger and Mildred Heasley. On August 8, 1970, he married Frances A. Angus, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. She survives at home.
Bill was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed painting and gardening. Bill was a member of the Gripers Club, where he treasured spending time with his friends. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved the game of golf.
In addition to his wife, Frances, Bill is survived by two children, Jeffrey (Bobbi) Heasley of New Castle; Janice (Andrew) Veres of Quakertown, PA; his brother, Richard (Patricia) Heasley of Erie, PA; his sister, Helen (Dick) Overdorff of Erie, PA; and four grandchildren, Cody Heasley, Gregory Heasley, Joe Heasley, and Evan Veres.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeanne Rhodes; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Jim Mohr officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
