William "Alex" McHale

William “Alex” McHale, 67 of New Castle, PA passed away on October 20, 2021 at UPMC Jameson following an extended illness. 
He was born on September 22, 1954 to the late John C. McHale Sr. and Glenda “Rusty” McHale-Garcia and was raised in Portersville, PA. 
William graduated from Slippery Rock High School. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Portersville Volunteer Fire Department and then went on to complete the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union #66 Apprenticeship.  He worked his entire career of over 40 + years with them.
He was a longtime member of the Kings Chapel United Methodist Church.  Before his illness, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. William loved making people laugh, having fun and being a people person.  
William is survived by his son Justin McHale; step-father Benjamin Garcia; sisters Sharon Isacco, Slippery Rock, and Susie McHale, Frederick MD;  brother John McHale of Weston, WV as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephews James Fedor and Charles Matuke; paternal grandparents  John and Louella McHale; maternal grandmother Elsie Simons and sister, Pamela McHale.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 12 -1 PM at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill Street, New Castle. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Darryl Lockie will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Ministry, 135 Decker Dr. New Castle, PA 16105.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street. New Castle.
