Robert "Bob" J. Kalafut

Robert “Bob” J. Kalafut, 65, of Neshannock Township passed away peacefully the morning of September 8th at his residence with family by his side.
Bob was born in New Castle on August 12, 1959. He was the third child of the late John and Frances (Lombardo) Kalafut. Bob was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1977. He was Roman Catholic and attended St Mary’s- Holy Spirit Parish.
After more than 45 years of service as a jeweler and store manager, Bob recently retired from King’s Jewelry. Bob was an avid fan of martial arts where he studied Shito-ryu Itosu Kai and was an accomplished Godan (fifth degree black belt). He enjoyed muscle cars and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his three children and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob’s charismatic personality brought joy to everyone he encountered and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know him
The family requests all to meet on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s site, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. John Gizler, parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate.
